partnerships with other health and social
service agencies in our community to provide
a range of programs and services.

Opeongo
High School:
Nurse Practitioner Tricia Mackay provides a teen health clinic on
Tuesday mornings at the Opeongo High School
during the school year.

Bonnechere Manor Day Away Program:
This is a community outreach
program of the Bonnechere Manor in Renfrew
offered in our Beachburg site on Thursdays.
This program
provides structured and supervised
activities for seniors and adults living
within the Renfrew County Community. A hot
lunch and nourishing snacks are provided.

Diabetes Clinic:
This outreach program from the Pembroke
Regional Hospital is offered in both of our
sites every 2 months. Diabetes education and
teaching is available to anyone with
Diabetes or to any family member who cares
for someone with Diabetes. Call for more
information.

Renfrew
County Child Poverty Action Network (CPAN):
We are a member organization
of the executive committee of this network
which exists to reduce the impact of child
poverty in Renfrew County. Committees and
members of this Network: raise awareness
about child poverty through public education
and the “Poverty Survival Game,” advocate to
influence public policy addressing child
poverty, provide school supplies, back
packs, foot wear and snowsuits to families
in need, provide funding to ensure access to
recreational opportunities. These are just a
few of the initiatives coordinated by CPAN.
