Fit, Fun & Fully Alive! Group Fitness Classes for Older Adults
|Who:||For older adults and seniors who want to maintain or increase their activity and fitness level in a social and supportive environment.|
|What:||Weekly, hour-long exercise classes will help you get in shape or keep in shape. Different levels of fitness ability are accommodated. Classes marked "Gentle" are for people who are recovering from injury or illness, who use a walking support (ie chair, cane, walker), or who have been inactive for an extended period of time . All programs are led by trained community volunteers or staff. Drop in by yourself or bring a friend!
All classes are designated as Heart Wise Exercise sites and meet the criteria of the Ottawa Heart Institute to safely include people in the classes with different chronic conditions e.g. heart disease, diabetes, stroke.
